WORKOUT 101 - FOUNDATIONS

Join Coach Leslie in Workout 101: Foundations as she “tells the truth” in teaching math while assisting students in tapping into and programming their God-given mental computers!!! Watch your child quickly and painlessly achieve speed, accuracy and understanding of math fundamentals. Students will enjoy independent and team competition in a healthy environment. Both students and parents will be equipped, enlightened and encouraged!!

PRE-REQUISITES:
- Mastery of lower addition and subtraction facts
- Mastery of addition and subtraction (including carrying and borrowing)
- Mastery at reading numbers up to 999
- 15-minute assessment to confirm student readiness

TARGET GRADES:
- Most students in Workout 101 are in the 3rd-5th grade range. Occasionally, there are 2nd-graders who demonstrate readiness and 6th-graders who require remediation.
PARENTAL COMMITMENT:
Because this class is only taught for 75 minutes each week, it is not designed to replace primary math instruction, but to be a supplement. To maximize the full benefit of the classes, parents should ensure that their child completes all homework assigned. Regularly reviewing the concepts with your child will provide the needed reinforcement. A child’s ability to obtain and maintain mastery will depend primarily upon parental consistency.
