The Coach

Leslie Bond, founder of Math Muscles, has had the joy and privilege of tutoring, coaching and teaching math for over three decades.  Additionally, she has enjoyed consulting with countless home educators on math curriculum decisions and math instruction methodologies.  As a math aficionado, Leslie would love to use her passion and competence to partner with you and serve your student.

Tutoring and Coaching Experience

• Instructs groups of home-educated and traditionally-educated elementary students in math fundamentals

• Supported private school elementary math teacher by coaching students during classroom time

• Tutored college students in College Algebra and in Calculus I, II and III; tutored middle school students in Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry

• Assisted high school juniors and seniors in SAT preparation

Home Education Experience

• Home-educated from 1997 through 2019. Instructed my children in math and other subjects from kindergarten through 12th grade using a variety of curricula

• Graduated oldest son from high school in 2011 (graduate of NC State University with a degree in Environmental Science)

• Graduated youngest son from high school in 2019 (currently pursuing a degree in middle grades math from Anderson University in South Carolina)

• Consulting home educators on math curriculum choices and math instructional techniques since 2005
